Black Walnut Root Burl Globe.
This might possible be the single most spectacular piece of wood I have ever had the privilege of working with.
The colors, figure and inclusions are amazing.
The pictures do not come come close to doing the piece justice.
The piece is turned, sanded and finish both inside and out.
It is finished with multiple coats of an epoxy resin giving it the appearance of being dipped in glass.
I don’t post many of my commissioned pieces on my site but I was compelled to post this one.
Measures 14″ wide and stands 9″ tall.
