Description
This cremation urn is made with a spectacular piece of Jaguar Maple.
The Jaguar markings and coloring on this piece are totally off the charts.
This piece has an African Blackwood lid with a threaded Pewter insert and an African Blackwood finial.
The finial is also threaded and has my signature turquoise stone inlay on the bottom to give the piece that little something special.
With the colors and lines, along with the classic shape I gave this piece, it makes this form very pleasing to the eye.
Finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
The log that this piece was made with surprisingly was salvaged from the brush pile at our local transfer station.
Will hold 275+ lbs. of cremated ashes.
The piece stands 13″ tall and is 8” wide.
