Poplar wood comes from a what is commonly called a Tulip Tree.

Red Gum Salad Bowl.

Sometimes referred to as Sweet Gum of just Gum.

White Oak Salad Bowl.

More specifically this is made with what is known in the south as Water Oak.

The tree came from the Country Club of Charleston which was hit by lightning during the 2019 Women’s US Open golf tournament.

Natural Edge Black Walnut Platter.

The piece was made from a log that was a triple crotch.

The markings and colors on this bowl are awesome.
