Description
Maple Burl Carved Wood Sculpture.
Sculpture has a Black Walnut base and the burl is supported by a 3/4″ round steel rod painted black with a satin sheen.
The Burl Sculpture was finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
The rear of the burl was left natural and finished with a wipe on poly.
The Black Walnut base was finished with an acrylic epoxy and buffed to a glossy sheen.
This piece will make an amazing centerpiece to any home of office décor.
The piece stands 22-1/2″ tall and is 13″ wide.
