Red Mallee Burl Carved Wood Sculpture.
Red Mallee Burl is a beautiful red burl with very light sapwood edges from Australia.
The sculpture has an African Blackwood base.
The Burl Sculpture is finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
The rear of the Burl was left natural and finished with wipe on poly.
This piece will make an absolutely stunning addition to any home of office décor.
The piece stands 18-1/2″ tall and is 9″ wide.
