Description
This cremation urn is made with a very attractive piece of Spalted Ash.
Ash is very rare worldwide these days due to the borer beetle killing them off.
The cap is a Pearlescent Red acrylic that has been threaded.
The finial is African Blackwood with pewter threads and my signature turquoise stone on the bottom for that finishing touch.
Finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
Will hold 225+ lbs. of cremated ashes.
Measures 14″ tall and is 7″ wide.
