Natural Edge Black Walnut Platter.
This piece is off the charts with absolutely amazing figure and inclusions.
I torched the natural edge giving the piece a black outline.
The log used to make this piece was a triple crotch giving the piece two feather figures in one piece.
This piece would make a wonderful centerpiece in any setting at home or in the office.
Finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
