Natural Edge Maple Burl Platter.
This is a very large burl platter designed to make a spectacular centerpiece in any setting.
The color, burl patterns and the amazing number of eyes plus the fact that I was able to retain the bark around the entire edge makes this piece very special and appealing.
Finished with several coats of oil/urethane blend to allow all the figure and character of the wood to “pop” and come alive. Once cured it was buffed and then hand rubbed with a museum quality wax giving the piece a perfect sheen and real wood feel.
The piece measures a whopping 21” in diameter.
